ACM20121 Certificate II in Animal Care (Health & Welfare)

During this course, you will be exposed to a variety of hands on practical training and theory based lessons. Here’s a quick overview of the course. 

  • 14 weeks Intensive Training

    Our intensive training structure allows you to complete all aspects of the course within 14 weeks. You will commit to two days a week during this period to undertake class and practical training.

  • Subsidised Fees start from just $668.20*

    Funding is available under the Jobs and Skills WA Participation Program for eligible students. For full details and conditions click 'Get More Info' below.

  • Unique Learning Environment at Cat Haven and Greyhounds as Pets

    As part of your practical training, you will attend the Cat Haven or Greyhounds as Pets (GAP) kennel facility one day per week. You will be supervised by AVT Trainer and Assessors when on-site.

  • No Prerequisites

    Just bring your passion for animal welfare, attend all training days, be at least 18 years of age, be physically capable of handling and restraining animals, standing on your feet for extended periods of time and be able to lift up to 10kg.
