What Qualification do you Need to Become a Veterinary Nurse?
A career as a veterinary nurse is one of the most rewarding, exciting and fulfilling vocations in the world, where you will never stop learning, evolving and growing.
Our responsibility extends beyond just providing industry-leading courses in all aspects of animal care.
Our commitment to the environment is also an integral part of our mission, as we strive to create a positive impact not only on the lives of our students but also on the planet we share and the animals who share it with us.
In our ongoing efforts to reduce our environmental footprint, we have embraced digital solutions to minimise the need for printed materials.
Over recent years we have dramatically reduced the volume of printed textbooks required by students. By transitioning to digital platforms, we have conserved valuable resources but also provided our students with more flexible and accessible learning options.
This move aligns with our core values of offering the most up-to-date course material while also demonstrating our commitment to sustainability.
Our recycling program goes beyond traditional methods. We’ve implemented a creative approach that includes reusing items for animal enrichment and housing. This initiative not only reduces waste but also directly benefits the animals that our students are passionate about caring for.
Additionally, our “Containers for Change” program allows us to donate proceeds to animal-related beneficiaries, ensuring that our efforts support both the environment and the animal community.
In line with our commitment to sustainability, we’ve introduced a “Pass It On” program for student uniforms. Instead of discarding uniforms, our students can pass them on to new students, promoting a culture of reuse and reducing waste.
As part of our nationally recognised programs, we also teach and assess units in environmental sustainability. Our students learn how to measure the environmental impact of work practices, identify trends and carry out improvements in their roles. Students also learn about the important legislation that protects our environment and important resources.
Our commitment to the environment is not just about what we do, it’s about who we are. We believe that by fostering trust, connection and confidence in our students, we can inspire them to make a real impact in their careers and the world. Our dedication to sustainability is just one of the ways we demonstrate our leadership in the animal care community.
