Hannah has worked as a veterinary nurse in Albany since beginning her Cert IV qualification via correspondence in 2007. Hannah has always had a passion for animals and absolutely loved the experience she gained working in a rural practice where she’s seen and helped many different species of animals, and a large variety of cases and experiences.
Hannah has worked in one practice since starting her qualification and while there, worked up to the role of head nurse from 2011 – 2017, where she then reduced her role and working hours to accommodate raising her young family.
Through her 16 years at her practice, Hannah has had the opportunity to help teach, supervise and support the vet nurse and animal studies students that came through in that time and enjoyed helping them on their individual paths.
After starting a family, Hannah decided to pursue a qualification for Training and Assessing so that she would be better able to continue to help train and mentor future vet nurses with AVT.
Hannah currently is raising three young kids which keeps her busy but is still working in practice two days a week and attends any seminars or representative talks to stay as up to date on latest information and techniques as she can.
Hannah loves wildlife and hopes soon to get into volunteering for the local wildlife caring groups.. once the kids are older and she gets a bit more free time!
